i am looking for substitution parts for the following:

647-UHE1C681MPD     16volts 680uF   Nichicon Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors - Leaded

652-4608X-2LF-680    8pins 680ohms  Bourns Resistor Networks & Arrays

660-CF1/4C181J            180ohms 5%     KOA Speer Carbon Film Resistors

thanks

Greetings,,,

Mouser has the resistor.

Digi-Key has

4608X-2-681LF-ND  Resistor network

493-1524-ND  Capacitor

For the resistor from the same place,

CF1/4180JRCT-ND

The first two are the same manufacturer product, just different Vendor part numbers.

Any subsistutes for the Resistor network??  Can't find any anywhere.

Greetigns,,,

Might cost to ship, but here is some...

http://export.farnell.com/jsp/home/homepage.jsp?_DARGS=/jsp/home/exportHome.jsp_A&_DAV=en_EX_DIRECTEXP .  Then input the part number 4608X-102-681LF .

I used quite a few on the last Coop, and had to order from more than one place then.  You might be able to get away with 680 resistors as a substitute, but better check with RJ, to be sure.

Thanks,  after seeing that shipping for these was a flat rate of 32.00 I think I better find a substitute.

RJ,  any ideas on what I can use instead of these networks?  Thanks

Freebird.

Look at 858-L083C681LF  as a possible but untested. I do not like making subsitiute recommendations because I have not tested them and it seems to cause confusion and problems later on.

The spec sheet indicates that the resistor network is made up of four 680 ohm resistors rated at .3 watt each with 1% tolerance. Four quarter-watt 680 ohm resistor with 1% tolerance should do the trick.

I've attached a capture of the wiring diagram for that "family" of resister modules

I tripped over a Bourns document (found via link in Digikey) that there is another family of SIP resistor networks that appears to be equal...   look for 4308R-2-681LF-ND.     Packaging is a little different but otherwise I could not see any major (electrical) differences.    Digikey website showed 49 on hand...  (but didn't do a checkout to see what would happen next)...

okay in trouble now just got 10 pcbs from bill to add to my show for this year ordered the parts from mouser and the network resistors are back ordered   ---- to Aug or 2011. Looked up all the sub parts listed above and they are not carried or digikey had 8  of a alternate but they want $30.00 to ship. are there any other options. can i get 4 680 ohm 1/4 watt or 1/3 watt resisters and solder them into the pin holes ??? any suggestions desperately needed and appreciated???????  Help!!!!

Thanks  Tom

It looks like the 680R network is the current limiters for the LEDs in the optocouplers.  4 680R  resistors will work fine; I would get 1/8W or 1/4W ones since larger ones may have trouble fitting.  The first goes between pins 1 and 2, the second between the next two pins, etc.

TombMatt,   I may have 10  of the network resistors here.  Let me go thru my stuff this weekend and see what I have.  You can replace them when you get some in..

if you have them that would be great. but it would be a long wait mouser says they wont get any in until august of next year so if you need to hold on to them thats fine. I did order some 1/4watt 680ohm resistors just in case..

I have 5 of the networks available if you need them.  Send me a PM with your address and I will get them in the mail to you.

I found these http://www.halted.com/commerce/catalog/product.jsp?product_id=19243&czuid=1288298089277 (http://www.halted.com/commerce/catalog/product.jsp?product_id=19243&czuid=1288298089277) at HSC Electronic Supply. Will they work in place of the back ordered Mouser resistors?

I believe they should work fine.

I just tried to order the resistor packs from Halted.com, after ordering I received an email saying they were out of stock with no idea when they would get them back in.

Mouser.....:(  Out for now
Halted.....:(  Out for now.

Btw, there is also a lead time on the PIC's for the SSR4's.  Must be all the coops we have been running:)

Get 4 pieces of 71-CCF50-681 from Mouser (watch the price break at 50; depending on how many you get, it may be cheaper to get 50...).  Fold the lead over so they stand vertically, and use them in place of the network.  Place the first one with the longer lead in pin 1 and the shorter in pin 2.  Then load the other three in the same fashion next to the first one.

I ordered a substitute and was tired of waiting, so I used 1/4w resistors 681 ohm that I had on hand.
Long story short. It works the same.

thanks for the feedback!

I ended up finding some SIP packages at newark and they are on their way!!!  Yipeee!!!  Mouser also released the rest of my order to shipping today!!!  Hooray!

The only issue I had with mouser was finding the right resistor.  Guess I should have looked a little harder, but I am new to this substitution stuff, but I will get better at this with practice!!!

one thing to watch with getting sub parts...  sometimes getting a part from a diff manufacturer might have a spec off, or it might just be made "cheap"

back in the 80's, i bought a GPX walk-man, and a Sony,   guess which one still works today...

some companies just build better components.
