Title: xLights 0.2 is now available
Post by: dowdybrown on November 30, 2010,
The Windows version of xLights 0.2 is now available. The OS/X version will be released shortly.

Users of xLights 0.1 will need to regenerate their playlist scripts using the script wizard after upgrading.

Improvements in 0.2 include:
* Better support for playback on Windows 7
* Support for D-Light extended commands (twinkle-fade, shimmer-fade)
* Ability to select multiple channels at a time in xTester
* New tests in xTester
* Script commands to access a serial port
* Script commands to read a file
* New EXITFOR script command to exit for/next loops

I just downloaded the newer version & the Sequencer button does not work. Did I miss part of the download or am I just missing something?

Hi Matt, Csf

Any idea what the min computer requirements:?

Reason I ask: One seq is still a problem. My Christmas Vacation plays well on my work computer but it doesn't play in the scheduler on the show computer (it crashes scheduler). The show computer is a virtualbox windows xp with the host OS being Debian Lenny. I think I am short on memory

thanks

Does the sequence play at all?

Can you check the memory usage at the time of the crash?

While playing the file you sent me, Task Mgr shows xScheduler consuming 13.1MB on Win7 32 bit. Of course the file has 10ms timing, which makes it bigger than most. Any way you could make it 25ms timing? Not required, as it works fine on my PC. But just a thought on a way to cut down on the resources required. Cheers,

Matt

Hi Matt,

That does make sense. I forgot it was 10ms since the original seq came from a lor 2 file and I just lined up what I needed.
It also explains why it gives that virtual pc a hard time.

Thanks

As long as you are getting the windows version (there is a mac version) then it should work. After you download, right click on the file and select run as administrator. I just download it and it worked fine with Windows 7 32bit
