Title: Multiple dongles?

does Vixen, or any other software for that matter, allow you to use multiple dongles in the one sequence/show?

i was just thinking about the upcoming smart strings and was throwing around the idea of a dongle to run PixelNet smart strings and a dongle to run normal DMX. i know the smart string hubs have DMX out as well but i think it would be easier to have a separate one for each protocol but only if the software can support multiple dongles.

You can use multiple dongles together.  That's one way to have over 512 channels per show.

We are running two Lynx dongles in the show this year under vixen.

One is a DMX dongle and one is the same but with the PixelNet firmware loaded running my 3000 channel megatree made of RGB Smart Strings.
