Title: Rainbow Floods (yet again)

Trekster was nice enough to post a pix of his MR16 wiring for his Rainbow Floods

I had some questions  concerning the wiring.
The Floods manual says to wire all the striped wires to the common anode (POS lug)
The solid should go to their respective Gnd lugs

In the pix it appears to be wired as follows:
CH1 Gnd = OR and WH/OR
CH1 Pos = BR and WH/BR
CH2 Gnd = GN and WH/GN
CH3 Gnd = BL and WH/BL

Why the difference?

I don't know how much power the rainbow flood draws, so this might not be an issue...

The pairing of the twisted pairs could draw too much current through the positive pair as all three channels are running current down that pair. As laid out in the manual, it puts more wire on the common connection.

Well I am not sure why he did it that way but perhaps his jack ends are a little different.  It is very simple as far as wiring, so it here it goes:

O/S, G/S, B/S and B/S all get wired together and get connected to any of the positive terminals on the MR16.

Orange solid goes to Channel 1 GND
Blue solid goes to Channel 2 GND
Brown solid goes to Channel 3 GND

Green solid is not connected to anything.

Sorry, the pictures were to show you the lugs connected.  My cases were to small to fit the connectors in for my Rainbow Floods http://diylightanimation.com/index.php?topic=5142.0  I made up my own wiring scheme.  I used the orange/ orange-white for my red, the green/ green white for green, the blue/ blue white for blue and the brown/ brown white for common positive.  I guess the color of the wires do not matter as long as it is connected right.
