Title: Wireless for SSR4, etc
Post by: mmciver on February 03, 2012,
When you are setting up the EX/RX for Wireless with something like the SSR4, on the documentation on the wiki is the EX/Rx picture facing the front of the board or the back?

In other words, the picture on the wiki shows wires going to 3 pins on the EX/RX, but is it showing the front of the board or the back?

Makes a bit difference in the wiring!

Just curious.

Mike.

in that drawing, you are looking at the front of the EX/RX.   The wire going into the lower right hand hole is GND.

Here is one prepped and ready to be used.

Thank you for the clarification.  I never questioned it until I went to.build one, then the position wasn't as clearly marked as I would have liked.
In otherwords it wasn't 100% idiotproof.  Me being the idiot:)

One other note that I learned after the fact is that the wireless antenna should be facing up when the case is closed.  I had mine taped to the lid with double sticky tape with the antenna up, but then realized when I closed the lid it would be antenna down.  They seemed to work ok, but I did go back and change them.  I want to be sure I am getting the maximum signal to these little puppies no matter where I happen to be using them.
