Title: Colorado DIY Lighting people, want to meet?
Post by: smeighan on March 05, 2012,
Hi to those in colorado.

Maybe we could get together and talk about DIY crhistmas lights and Nutcracker.

My week is pretty busy. You may know that i have twin 10yo sons (They turn 11 on March 30). I also have a daughter who turns 40 this year, a son who is 34 and another 32yo son who is in Afghanistan. My wifes daughter, Anastasia is 20. So I have 6 kids with a 30 year age range!

Monday night i play in the VFW band in littleton
Tuesday night my boys have boys scouts at 7pm
Wednesday night i play in the Highlands Ranch Concert Band
Thursday night the boys have swimming at 6:30pm
Friday night the boys have swimming at 7pm.
Sat morning the boys have swimming at 8am.
Sunday i play in two orchestras at St Andrew Methodist Church.

This is only to say, my nights are pretty tied up. So I have Saturday Lunch or Dinner and Sunday Lunch or dinner as available time slots.
I am free both days this weekend if you would like to meet?

You all have maybe done a sequence and a show, i have done neither.

If not this weekend, maybe the next?

thanks
sean

This sounds like a great idea Sean.

I am near Arvada West HS.  I am available on both Saturday and Sunday for the next 2 weekends.  Either works for me.  I would like to get together and meet other DLA members in Colorado.

I may be available on Sat/Sun both of the next two weekends.  Sun is better, but I can probably carve out some time either day if it works best for others.

I'll be near Santa Fe and C470 this weekend (chatfield).

Good looking group you got there!

Thanks! That is Alexei on the left and Dennis on the right. They will be turning 11 Match 30th, they are 1 minute apart. They took first and second in their pinewood derby race in cub scouts. They go on to the district races in April. They have graduated on to boy scouts. New frontiers for them and me.

My wife is from the Ukraine. Her daughter, Anastasia, is 20. My older children are Michael, 32. He currently is in Afghanistan. Seumas, 34. He is a manager in San francisco. And my daughter Erin, 40. So there is a 30 year age gap between my oldest and youngest. 6 kids!

My ex-wife was deaf so all of my older children are fluent in sign language.

I am enjoying getting to go through parenting a second time.  Both of my youngest boys are in swimming and band. so between those activities and the fact that i play in 4 bands/orchestras almost every night is busy with something.

In my spare time i decided to write the Nutcracker.

you only go around once.

thanks

Just back from a 10 days vacation. Sorry I missed out. I look forward to the next one. I am still planning on some form of a Colorado Mini (ala Planet Christmas style) in May sometime. I would love to make a day of it with an open forum time and then some time dedicated to Vixen, LOR3, Nutcracker, etc. Thanks's for organizing this Sean.
