Title: PIC wont accept start address on MR16

I have 2 MR16's from the February MR16 co-op.  One will not program address.  It is stuck at address 1.  I swapped pics from the second MR16( which does set address) so I know it is the pic.  I have a PICkit 3 but no zif board.
Can someone reflash it or should I just order another pic?

If you order a new pic, it will still need to be flashed. Only pics received through the coops are pre-programmed.

suggestion...

take the programmed pic and move it to the other 'bad' unit. 
then use the 'good' unit to program and set the problem pic.

it may get you past your problem... though i prefer to have all units with a clean bill of health

tried that last night with no sucess.  Played with it today and finally was able to get it to accept an address.  Had to try different methods to get it to work.  not sure it will be reliable though.  It reverted to address 1 one time when trying to confirm the method worked.  I had to: power on, xlights sending address 65, jumper to program,wait 3 secs,  remove jumper, power off, put jumper to operate, power on.  I had to power down without jumper installed.  That is different than the other Pic.
But I'll test it for a while and as long as it works, I'm happy.

There are also members here that will program the pick for you if you sent it to them with return postage. While im not on the list I live in Frisco, TX and am willing to program picks for members also.
