Mega Tree Topper

Just thought I would share what I found and plan on using for my Mega Tree Topper to hold the string in place. I went to Harbor Frieght Tools today for their parking lot sale and found a FRUIT PICKERS BASKET for less than $2. It has 16 wires all the way around  make up the basket. I plan on cutting it down some and painting it black. Here a pic ture.

Here is my completed topper. Just screw it onto my JUMP mega tree.

It is like that thing was designed to be hacked by a DIY'er for just this purpose.  I have to find out if my HF has them in stock too.  What a great idea.  Thanks for sharing.

Hey, just an FYI for everyone. I did a search on Amazon and came up with a couple of them as well. Not 2 dollars but still a pretty good deal at 4.99

Are you using these to attach your strings/lights to for the tree?

Yes, the string will attach to the hooks. I think I will use zip ties to make loops to go over the hooks.
