Not trying to violate any rules with an advertisement, but LEDs were scarce as ever at the big box stores this year and I wanted to share this news so my friends here at DLA have a fighting chance for 2012. Delete this topic if it is not appropriate.

Thanks for the heads up.  Wonder why they don't include string length as an easy to reference number point...

I'm not positive, but I  think he tries to be more precise than just giving the length since a lot of people what to know how long the leads are too. So 6"x4"x6" means six inch leads on either end, with 4 inch spacing between sockets. You do the math depending on your bulb count; 50, 70 or 100 ct string.

So would that be about 34' for a 100 count LED strand then?

100 LED's with 99 four inch segments of wire approximately between them...

99 * 4" = 396"

396" + 6" + 6" = 408"

408" / 12 = 34'

Assuming I'm thinking about this correctly at almost 2 AM on the east coast...

Saw this information on DIYC.  It is for a presale on SPT-2 and plugs.  I think that it ends on Jan 15 for delivery sometime in April.

Yes, the 100 count strings are close to 34'. I think it is like 33' 4" long. I could measure one for you if needed. I have extra new ones that have never unrolled and stretched.

Would you mind measuring a used and un-used one Mike?

I'm debating retooling my megatree this year to use LED's and need to figure out how much it would cost to adjust the pole size and guy wires etc.
