Personally I try to avoid fittings if at all possible.

I did use one fitting on my mini trees. I took a 4 way and drill out the center to slide the vertical post on it.

I love PVC pipe just not the fittings. I try to design items without them.

I also try to design stuff with as few a fittings as possible because they get pretty expensive real quick.

I made my own T slip fittings by using a 7/8in unibit to drill out the inside of the fitting so I could slide it down the pipe. Then I used a stainless screw to lock it in place.

i only use slip couplers, and slip end caps

anything I make of PVC self-destructs.... <md.. or a hurricane comes by.....eather way....
