Bill,
Going with the EDM will be one of the best decisions you can make. I use the included antenna also, it doesn't transmit too far, but the sound is crystal clear.

If you're looking for a top of the line RDS model I have one for sale. The seasons over so I don't need two. I'll throw in a ferrite choke on the power supply and an antenna adapter as well. It's assembled, tested, and ready to go.

One other thing about EDM. I lost my manual and this fall wanted to check some things. I sent EDM an email explaining that I had lost the manual and coud they send me another one. About 1 hour later the manual was in my email inbox.

Am I reading this right? An antenna will improve sound quality? Any more info appreciated. I just use the whip rubber duck for mine and sound quality is decent... I thought an antenna would just boost distance.

Sam, who is happy he flashed his etherdongle with newest firmware!

Feed a good antenna from a poor transmitter and you're not going to gain anything no. From my experience a matched setup is what's important.

I use the same transmitter as Trekster. It does just fine and I actually turn it down because I can pick up the signal over a 1/2 mile from inside my home.
Here is the link:
