I got the audio file from this site, his how to is pretty good if you don't want to go the full 3-axis skull route

then I split the stereo tracks into 2 mono tracks with Audacity and used Chris' (ctmal) method to create the jaw movement

then used his skull sequencer to add in the 3-axis head movement

He just came out with a 3d object suite which I haven't had a chance to use but knowing the work Chris does I'm sure it's great.

Great job, I have wanted to do that since I saw the original using the Talking Boris skulls.  But you can not find the Talking Boris anymore and I have not wanted to tackle the servo based stuff.  Thanks for sharing.

Hi Ron

Do you have any info how you did the skeletons?

What servos, build pictures, etc?

Thanks

Well I guess you guys are the only ones to see my joking skeletons this year.  I just got power back last night and no Trick or Treaters were out yesterday (most of my county was dark last night with about half the homes still out now).  I got my Halloween lights back up today and I'm going to run them until Sunday.

Rick I'll try to put something together on building and mounting the skull to the skeleton over the next few days.  The skeletons I used were the pose-n-stay type from CVS Pharmacy (in case you were thinking about after Halloween sales). I've seen them at K-mart as well.

What a great way to use the animation.  I bet they will be a "scream" for next year's audience.

(Yeah, I know. I couldn't help it)

Very cool!!!  I look forward to learning how you setup and configured the skeleton.
