ACH! NO CF Slot!
« on: November 09, 2012, »

Got the conductor in the mail today.  Tore it open an merrily built it.  All seems well...except NOT ONE COMPUTER IN MY @#%#%%$$ house has a CF Slot!   We've got 4 laptops and 2 desktops.  MicroSD - no problem.  USB, plenty.  CF?  NOTHING!

This sucks.  Now I gotta go get an adapter so I can play, but that'll have to wait till tomorrow or Sunday.

If you have a camera that uses that type of card, you can also use it to read and write to the card thru the USB connection.
If at first you don't succeed,
your not cut out for sky diving

Armed with a shiny new 32 in 1 card reader, I've now successfully tested my conductor with an old sequence.  Worked like a charm.

Now...how do you fit it in the damn case?

You don't really need to use colorful language

Remove the eject device and put the unit (etherdongle & conductor) in the case. Use a pencil to mark the where you need to cut the whole along with added space for the eject device. Remove the unit and fill in your pencil lines and either score that with a knife (very carefully ) and then start drilling out the center part. Use a knife to get to the score lines and then do a test fit to see if more material needs to be removed. Also mark where you want the audio jack to go and just drill the hole.

Simple :)
