ok, so the start turned solid white...

either a bad node, or the v3 mod should help you.

I had the 2 330 resistors, but decided to swap out and put a 150 on there which has made the rouge strand work like a champ.

I am using only the 150 ohm resistors from now on for the rest.  I should have done that in the first place.
