No Control in Control Panel
« on: November 11, 2012, »
So I have a test show built and running. All is good light are going blinky, but I have no control in the control panel. The "Disable Schedule" and "Stop Show" are not active. Text is there, but I cannot do anything with them. Any body else running into this?

It sounds like a password problem if other functions such as "Sync" and "Reset Conductor" don't work.  Either no password has been setup or was entered incorrectly.

That's actually what I thought, but has password. Even closed restarted and re-entered password. Still no go. After test tonight I will format card and try again. Password is the first thing that I put in after a reformat. Is that correct or should I do it at some other point?

Make sure that the password in the file matches the one you are using.

The contents of the password file is not encrypted or scrambled at all. Just open with Notepad.

Look but don't touch would be good advice, though. It has a LOT of trailing spaces and the number is probably important.

Ok Checked password and it was ok. Controls are there until show starts, then goes away and comes back as soon as show has completed. I re-formatted card and started over.

1. Copied file to card
2. Opened control panel and did not input password
3. Selected CF Card
4. Set password 7 characters
5. Built Show
6. Set Schedule
7. Safe remove CF card
8. Insert CF card in Conductor

Afterwards closed control panel and reopened using created password. No control when show starts.

When the show is running the only button I see is the stop show (manual show play)

This is a normal function as the conductor is busy running the show and sending out timing marks to a slave unit(s)
It won't update the control panel

I cannot use that one. It is not active, at least I am pretty sure. At work now and cannot verify, but I am 99% sure.
