Coro Candles and Pixels
« on: November 26, 2012, »
I've created 4 coro candles based on FastEddy's design. I'm thinking of using Nutcracker to provide the single string effects on the candle body and flame.  I'm using 14 rectangular pixel modules for the body and 4 for the flame. I'm trying to wrap my head around using the the 2 effects on the same string. I'll be using LOR S3 for my sequencer.  Any one have an idea that will point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

Tom

create a single strand target 1x18

on next screen answer that there are two segments

in the bottom of the from

set segment 1 to start at pixel 1
set segment 2 to start at  pixel 15

now segment 1 has 14 pixels in it and segment 2 has 4 pixels.,

assign effects to the two segments, maybe rainbow color for top and a chase on the bottom

thanks

I'm stuck on where to assign the effects to the 2 segments. I see the 2 segments but can't figure out how to select different effects.

Thanks, Sean I know you are busy putting your show together.

Sean,

I'm using the login tommcteer, that is where I tried to create the target and effect  not tmcteer.  You can delete tmcteer or reset my password. I think I'd prefer to use tmcteer to keep the association to the forums.

I made a copy of your effect and called my new one CANDLE.

i set the bottom to cycle thru a rainbow color and the top to sequence red and yellow.

Column   Segment 1   Segment 2
Color #1
Number of Color1 Pixels
3D Fade for Color#1
Color #2
Number of Color2 Pixels
3D Fade for Color#2
Use rainbow colors instead of color#1 and color#2
Direction (left/right)   Left
Right
Left
Right
