14V on pins 1&2 out of Etherdongle?
« on: November 28, 2012, »
I am having an issue with some TIR flood lights (see post You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login)  and during the troubleshooting I found that pins 1&2 (DMX universe 1) is outputting 14V once data is applied to the etherdongle. Without data it sits around 8V.

Now, I'll be the first to admit that my volt meter is not top notch, but that jump seems to be causing a problem. If you read through the thread above you'll see some interesting combinations of where the flood works and does not work.

If anyone has seen this, or could measure the voltage on pins 1&2 with an Etherdongle flashed for DMX and see if they are getting similar behavior I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Dan
