XLights - Unable to play file...MP3
« on: December 01, 2012, »
I am unable to get any sequences or Mp3s to play in Xlights in version 2012c.  Any body have any suggestions.

I keep getting the popup box...
"Unable to play file: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.mp3"

I know that my sequence files and mp3's are in the same directory and I can open and play the mp3.  Does the mp3 need to be associated with a specific program in order to run (ie Windows Media Player)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No associations would be necessary. When you say your sequences and music are in the same directory that is also the same directory configured in xLights correct? When you are in playlist creation mode do you see the mp3 files if you click the audio check box?

Are you trying to play Vixen, LOR, or xlights sequence files?  You may want to do a quick zip file with a sequence you want to play and post that.  Also, post the exact text of the error message you are seeing as well.

This might help us figure out what is going on.
