I realize their would need to be some sort of light configuration capability, but what are the limitations of xlights going out and grabbing the system time, then plugging that into a formula to give a countdown to Christmas sort of display?
Getting system time shouldn't be the hard part, it would be setting up/designating how the digits will be mapped and the font size, etc. Since it would be dynamic it would be an inbetween songs sort of thing so xlights isn't driving 15k worth of lights at the same time.
Just wanted to throw it out there, building a 35 by 48 matrix and it would be nice if I could programmatically dynamically generate a countdown clock in real-time.
