Ether Dongle - almost there...
« on: December 05, 2012, »

Folks,

I found some time to work on my backup EtherDongle today.  Got is assembled, flashed it and turned it on.  The LED turns on and the MagicJack is merrily flickering away.  Unfortunately, no Pixelnet seems to be coming out the other RJ45 jack, so I've hosed something.  I went over all my solder joints, added where I thought necessary, but still no love.

Attached are front and back pictures.  I don't see anything wonky, but my eyes have gone blurry trying to figure this one out.  Help!

There's a few areas from what I can see on the back of the board that can be touched up. Try reflowing/ re soldering the joints.

I didn't see any solder that concerned me (except for that glare spot in the middle)

But I can't verify the orientation of the two silver squares (crystal oscillators) because of glare.

Oscilators are ok....guess I'll re-touch solder some more.

It has been flashed with the etherdongle pixelnet firmware and not the conductor pixelnet firmware?
