Trouble progamming channels Aether V1

It has been a couple of years since I have done this, but I cannot get my Aether to accept the channel program. I have 4 that I need to do. They are all wireless. My process is as follows:

1: Connect Dmx Standard dongle.
2: Open Lynx Address Utility
3: Select comport
4: Plug in Aether
5: Select Start Channel in Utility
6: Move 3 pin jumper to program (Aether instantly starts flashing solid white)
7: Hit Program button in utility (transmitting starts flashing on computer screen)

Aether never changes. I can control lights with the dongle so I know that it works and the Aether works they are just all on channel 1-4. I did reflash all of the pics. Any ideas or am I forgetting a step?

I think you need to use the Lynx Address Utility with the Aethers

That's actually what I have been using Rick. I just said the wrong thing.

I believe you just need to swap steps 6 & 7.

No, just use the utility like Rick says.

Its been a whle and I remember having problems with V1 as well.

Just tried and still no go. I am doing this on 2 Aethers that were working! Until I tried to change the channel config!!

Wiki states for Aether you use Lynx Configuration software to program and for Aether II you use Lynx Address Utility.
