Can these LED lights be split?

For those of you using the following LED lights:

Can these be split, meaning, they come as 20 pieces per string. I want to separate them into say 1 module, or say 3 modules or X modules.
Can that be done (I have lots of Smart String controllers to solder them too)

Yes they can be split
Each is a node
You cane have 1 to X nodes per ssc
X being max # as specified in wiki

wiki says max for metal square nodes (with 3 leds on each square) is 120 nodes.

you can use however many you want, as long as it's less than 120 to each SSC.

i have 6, i mounted on pvc and placed inside a acrylic globe.
