Conductor set up.
« on: December 19, 2012, »
I understand convertoring to conductor language threw xlights.

Now that the hard ware is working. ED, 4 port hub, SSC, and smart strings.

Do I now redo the ED firm ware to conductor firmware?

Is there a procedure to down load the sequences to the compact flash disc?

Do I use the computer to save in the flash drive or save threw the ED?

Thanks

Mort

yes you reflash the ed for the conductor firmware then:

1 make a separate folder with your converted  songs and sequences that you plan on using. this will make it easier in the future.
2 rename your sequences and mp3 to 8 characters so the conductor will recognize them. i made mine the same name
3 save the mp3 and sequences to the cf card once done install into the conductor.
4 open the conductor control panel and you'll see the cf pull down slot, choose your card(kingston)
5 create a password
6 create a show matching the song with the sequence
7 create a schedule
8 should be it.

i will say that my conductor is not syncing properly but i think that is due to the bit rate with the mp3 from posts that i have read but i haven't messed with it. the show runs rock solid with my usb dongle so i haven't checked with my music yet but everything did work. those are the steps that you need to load your card and get the conductor going. good luck.

How do you save the converted vixen files to the sequence file or conductor?
I tried to copy them. Didn't work.

from the looks of your picture the conversion worked. you now have to go into the file folder for xlights and copy and paste your new .seq and put it onto your cf card. if you can't find it, go to windows run and type your sequence name and it will find it
