the Lynx USB more resembles the Enttec Pro

i believe the Lynx provides a continous DMX stream to the equipment like the Enttec Pro, where the Enttec OPEN does not. (it only sends a dmx signal while a sequence is played)

The enntec open is basically just a USB serial port and requires the PC to produce the data stream. Any glitches in windows can corrupt the current frame.

The USB dongle is more of a store and forward. It provides an active buffer and will continue to correctly output the last frame even if the application crashes. It also off-loads the DMX packet generation as DMX has an unusual synchronization header.

I don't believe the USB dongles are offered through coops, instead use the store... or buy a spare from someone else.
