Help with New ED set up
« on: March 04, 2013, »
Any videos or pictures of the set up process both for programming it and hooking it up to your show computer. I just got one and I want to play.

What software are you using?

Are you going to be doing Pixelnet or DMX?

Networked or direct connect?

A little more info.

The Ether dongle operates E131.
Have Fun!

1. Flash Etd for Pixelnet
2. Cat5 cable (May need crossover cable) from network plug on PC to Etd (Silver connector)
3. Cat5 from Etd to Active hub (Pixelnet in)
4. Cat5 dmx out on active hub to LOR controllers with conversion cable for DMX to LOR

Here is a video of a ED setup on LOR. You can skip to about the 6 minute mark if you want to avoid hearing a lot of excess babbling...
