Issue with the Conductor BOM
« on: March 14, 2013, »
Hey all you super smart folks...

I was just getting ready to order a Conductor from the store but see that one of the header items in the BOM:

It is no longer a stocked item and requires a minimum order of 3500!

Now, I'm all for ordering extra parts as spares, but that seems a little excessive ;)

I'm having a hard time finding a suitable substitution on Mouser.  Might anybody have any ideas?  I don't want to order the PCB if I won't be able to get the parts.

Thanks in advance to the group!

The EtherDongle should have this part already installed in it. The Conductor has only male pins that will plug into the Etherdongle. Look at your dongle, there should be a 2 pin sockit "female" labled PWR.

I have a couple of extras if you must have this part.
Have Fun!

Thanks for the clarification. I do have the female headers on my new EtherDongle, so I should be set.

Thanks!

Mouser's search engine, while better than some others, will often only list more expensive options...

I forgot to order the header kit from spark fun, but I found these in mouser

It's 36 pins in a single row - easily cut to length with your wire cutters.

Be sure you order enough if you do go this route. You need to mount the two boards from spark fun as well as the EtD interface.
