With only one 8-pin chip to control them, all of the LEDs do the same thing. If there are additional chips on the bottom of the board, it would be a different story...

Just noticed the input is 24 volt...
The ssc was designed to run on 12v

Yes you would need a to a 24v power source.
Not sure if it has one one WS2811 per 12 nodes or not.
 It can work as one Pixel, working with WS2811 controller. Statement it seems to mean each circle can be programmed to change colors.

Be careful you don't read too much into the non-native English.

Sounds like all 12 LEDs act as one pixel to me. While use of the word "can" implies that it can do something else, there is no mention of other capabilities.

Could 1 chip control 6 LEDs - yes.
Although it is hard to read, that is basically what the circuit diagram on the website shows. One chip, two sets of three LEDs in series.

I would use the word node to refer to the entire 6-led assembly.

I've been checking these out as well as others in Rays Store, and am going to try to start a lighting company to change over current lighting to LED.
