Xlights Directory
« on: June 03, 2013, »
Hey guys,

I'm trying to get a Vixen sequence into xLights to insert some Nutcracker effects, but I am getting the error that says: "Unable to find Vixen profile: Christmas 2013.  Make sure a copy is in your xLights directory."  I have searched and searched my computer for an xLights directory, but cannot find anything.  Where should that directory be on my computer?

Its a directory that you create and configure xlights for it.

example: Desktop/xlights2013

then copy your vixen sequences, audio, vixen profiles into that directory.

Thanks.  That worked perfectly.

Since i use Vixen, I set the xLights directory to C:\Vixen.2.1.1\Sequences
This way i can find the vix files easier.

The xLights show directory can be set anywhere on your computer.

One caveat; all files need to be here for xLights to use them. This means you need to copy over your mp3 files to this directory.

thanks
