Multiple Display Elements
« on: June 22, 2013, »
I have four 50 light RGB  mini trees that I am trying to setup in xlights. I have four separate display elements. Also, I can place the four display elements in the RGB sequence. However, the sequence always plays to the first tree, regardless of the selected column in xlights.

Each mini tree is on a separate universe of 150 channels. I can get all of the lights to work in test and if I choose a sequence with all 600 channels. Does xlights support the multiple display elements? What am I missing?

Thanks

Setup each display element separately, i.e., tree1, tree2, tree3, tree 4.  then apply the effects to each one separately.  If you want all 4 trees to always be the same colors/patterns then you would have to assign them to the same channel numbers in hardware and you could apply all the effects to all trees simultaneously.  Hope that makes sense.
