NC model for a dumb RGB mega tree
« on: July 25, 2013, »
I am going to use a bunch of dumb RGB strips that I've had on a shelf for a while... I will place 10-ft of strip into a 1/2" piece of PEX... and have 32 of these "light tubes".

Since each tube will uniformly take on a single color, the cool effects will be obtained by having all of the tubes play off of each other.

In NC, the only model that seems to work is a straight string of smart pixels, or an arch with smart pixels.  (my tubes would just be LOOONG pixels that go off in 3rd dimension.

I'm not yet sold on how I will use these (32) 10' tubes ... maybe a megatree in 270-degrees, or a full 360-degrees.   Maybe I will create 32 arches that radiate outwards from a central point on the ground.

So... I'm looking for ideas on what will create the greatest OOH-and-AAH results -- and how NC might be used to achieve even more with this display.
