Aether II coop
« on: August 06, 2013, »
We are still working on the coop. The new version of the led is still not in stock but will be in about a month so we hope to get it rolling before that.

Is this a different LED from the last Aether II?

Whew, because if they were any more powerful we could strap them to a shark's head and make Dr. Evil happy.

Nice - thank you!! I'm trying to figure out if I want to cover the front of the house...20' length.... do I get two kits or just one? Need to go read up on the angle lens and see what I can figure out!

i used (3) Aether-II's last year. I would get 2 to cover 20'/
it all depends how saturated you want the colors.

just an FYI, if you're going for the widest range flood for the aether II    you dont need any lenses at all.

just in case people were worried about the quantities .

This is a good point to make as in the coop we are already way above the number of wide angle lenses (kit 5) currently available and that number may get smaller before the parts are ordered.

I agree with Sean 2 aether IIs should cover 20' well and also with Chris that no lenses are necessary.  I use all of mine without lenses and it saturates color so well over 9' (3' from house) it nearly overpowers the flexstrips near it.  The pics in this thread (2011 show) are of aether IIs on 9' sections of my house.  You are not allowed to view links. Sam, who is happy he flashed his etherdongle with newest firmware!

Not the best videos but wanted to show people what the Aether 2 looks like with/without the wide lens

This was about 8 ft from the wall and the wall is white in color.

With Wide Lens

And then just on the front of my garage with the wide lens in.  2 Aethers sitting off the side about 6 ft from the front.
