Another way to set the Start Address?
« on: August 11, 2013, »
Good evening,

I posted this same question last year and never really got anywhere with it so I thought maybe I would try again :-)

I have an LE that I built but I cannot change the start address.  I can do all of the other functions with the push buttons (PGM, TST, etc) but I cannot change the address.  When I press the select button, light #16 DOES light as with my other (2) boards but nothing changes.

Is there another way to set the start address without using the push button?

Thanks for you help with this.

In the Wiki it says you can use the "Lynx Express Configuration Utility" to do it. You might check there.

Check to see if your mode switch is rotated 180 degrees.

How? Think up is down and down is up. Hold the mode switch in, release and back in until the numbers are showing when the button is being held in. While still holding the mode switch in,press the select a few times and see if the numbers increment.

If they do, you will need to remove the switch, rotate it 180 degrees and put it back in.

You also should consider reflashing the pic. Sometimes you just get a bad load...
