what version? when did this happen?
« on: September 22, 2013, »
I stayed away from this hobby (addiction) for a few months ( I thought I was cured but I am weak!) and I am now playing catch up. I am a little lost with what has happened with Xlight and I am trying to get the latest version but I am not sure which one it is and where to get it.
Could you please point me in the right direction? I am not using vixen 2.1 and will try + or 3 soon... not sure what is compatible with what.

I was looking under sourceforge...Thanks for the quick replies and the link.
so if I do not use rgb (yet), is there not really an advantage for me to upgrade?

Timeline.

Xlights 2010-2012 able to import vixen, lor, lsp and perform as your scheduler
2012 nutcracker 2 , web based tool to design massive rgb effects

Then the merge happened in January 2013. Nutcracker became a tab on xlights. Xlights and nutcracker source were moved to github.

With the latest 3.2.1 version you can now build models out of smart rgb, dumb rgb or non rgb lights. The preview allows you to model your entire show.

So probably yes, there might be. A reason to use xlights for non rgb

Thanks for the concise response Sean and I will definitely try it. ... not to mention that I am hoping to start playing with RGB soon.
