What is the max distance from Hub to SSC?

Hi,
  I am certain it is in here somewhere, but I cannot find it. I know there is a limit to the run length from the Hub to the SSC but I cannot ffind a good planning figure for it.  I can place my hub someplace inconspicuous but that will result in a 50 foot max run of Cat5 from the hub to the furthest SSC.  I don't know if I am pushing that too far.  What is the longest anyone has used and not had problems?  I need to buy my cables from monoprice and want to make sure I don't buy lengths I cannot use.  Thanks in advance.

50 feet is okay between the hub and ssc. The distance from ssc to string was much shorter.
