Copy & Paste Effects
« on: October 09, 2013, »
Hi Sean,

I hope that all is on track with your recovery. A quick question: is there a quick way to copy an effect from one cell to one or more cells in a sequence? Right now, I "copy" the effect as an Effect Presets and then "paste" using the Update Grid button. I have also edited the xml file but only do that if I need to move a lot of sequences. If it turns out the aforementioned alternatives are the state of the art, I suggest that a keyboard shortcut such as Ctl-C & Ctl-V (or right-click menu Copy Paste) would make a great enhancement.

Cheers,
Paul.

this can be done today.

double click a cell, it gets highlighted. type ctl-c.
go to cell where you want the effect, double click to highlight cell, type ctl-v to paste.

we plan on implementing a right click copy and right click paste, not done yet.

That great! Thanks for pointing out the need to double click first.

You can Right Click copy but you have to Left Click twice to put the effect cell into an XML display mode.

Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V are easier. :)

Agreed but it's good that it also works!
