I vote to keep the Co-op open.

I have no skin in this particular co-op but, as others have said, it was clearly stated up front that the final action within this co-op was subject to success of the beta testing program.  At this point only the beta testers have risk investment and that it a requirement of signing on as a beta tester.

But an important point to remember is while you might agree that it is OK to go ahead I did break a rule. The OP is correct in this. No matter how unintentional my actions were.

RJ

RJ,

An interesting dilemma. Interesting in the sense that it gives you the perspective of a judge that must sentence based on the law. They do however on occasion take into account the outstanding circumstances. In this case it would appear by vote you've been acquitted.

I vote we keep it open.  :)

Keep it open.  I too want the BOM for I am trying to go wireless before July 4th, but testing is necessary.  RJ is doing what is best for us, not himself.

Close the coop.  Stop all work on wireless devices.  Ban RJ from the site.  Don't let him return until pigs fly.  Wait, I just heard on the news that they have identified that a swine flu.  Guess we can let him back in.  :D

Keep going.  Wires are the enemy!!

Keep it Open!!

I guess having the BOM at this time isn't needed being there is now a parts coop.  We basically don't need the BOM till it is time to stuff the boards.

Looking forward to cool new toys to play with!

As a new forum user, I have spent several hours reading. Since I am new to DIY and soldering, this is a BIG jump for me.  However, I feel RJ has on more than one occasion advised this was more of a pre co-op as beta was not finished with testing.   He stated if  there were no major issues with beta, the co op would go forward when testing was over, and if major issues were identified, it would be cancelled. If you don't want to take the chance--don't, another will happen soon enough.

As a Ga mini participant, I saw the wireless in action but because I AM new to this, I need all the time I can get to put it together. My vote is to keep it open (if I'm allowed to vote yet!).  RJ has been accountable to his customers and this forum.  He has put this forth to be voted on and had his hand spanked, so lets move forward.  My order stands--1 transmitter and 3 receivers.   Rhonda

As I see no support for closing the coops and almost 100% for keeping them open I see no reason to close them. We have been moving ahead with the beta and have added other improvements to the setup including changing the AC wall wart units that run the units cooler and cost less.

Yes!       ;D

Just to expand the well detail reply from Leon :D

Just cooler in temp. Using a lower voltage wall wart so less heat is created
