8 channels not working propperly.
« on: November 27, 2013, »
On one of my expresses I was plugin some things in and the plugs were a little wet, when I ran a test there was a pop a little smoke and now channels 9 - 16 are not working. The express itself seems to be working fine. I checked the fuses and they are both fine. I'm hoping this is an easy fix but I fear it won't be. :(
2012: 2,000 lights, 16 channels, all controlled by Vixen.

The first step is to check for voltage between the top of the right fuse and common (left input wire on right side).  If these is no voltage there then check from the bottom of the fuse and the same wire.   Let us know the results and we can work from there.  You can also check the power traces on the board but they are pretty heavy duty.  Also and with the power off and the unit unplugged, do a continuity test of the right fuse.  I would actually do that first.  Just because it looks good doesn't mean that it is.
If at first you don't succeed,
