Error when trying to run schedule/timer
« on: December 02, 2013, »
I receives the following error when trying to use Schedule / Timer in vixen 2.1.

"There is at least one plugin that has a channel range that exceed the number of channels in the sequence.
this needs to be corrected before the application can continue."

I am using etherdongle.

thanks!

If you defined you channels in the sequence to use as 6522 and your ETD as 8192 that is the kind of error that is being reported.  I define my sequence as having 8192 channels with about 1500 or them labeled as spare or unused and also put the ETD at 8192.  then all is good.  In vixen you can move channels around on your programming screen so I always put the unused spares at the very bottom of the list.  I have multiple channel orders available with different sorts, by color, by effect and color, etc.

Where is the link to the mapping program?   I did not see it at the other site.

Second page post 15.  The mapping program is also built into vixen plus.  Vixen plus is beta and missing some things that you would use to play the show, but you can sequence and channel map in V+ and then just copy the sequence back to the vixen 2.1 folders.  The file formats are the same.  Always remember to back up your sequences often.  I had V1 to the end of the name, then V2 for the next interation.  I am using the channel mapper in V+ to move my sequences from 2012 to 2013 layouts.
