Will we see a .10 version in the near future?
« on: December 05, 2013, »
I'm about to spend the next three days in some serious sequencing effort and wondering if there will be any further releases of xlights this month?

I've seen some changes over in github around piano effect and copy/paste (could really make my life easier) so before jumping in I thought I would ask.

You can always download from github and build it yourself to have the most recent changes :)  good learning experience if nothing else.

Sean manages all releases so a new release will be up to him.

I will be releasing 3.1.10 today.

I expect a few more releases as we head to christmas. You do not need to upgrade unless you want to use new features.

I have intentions come January to get the latest Xcode going and start pulling and building over on the Mac.

Haven't compiled anything on x86 before....just SunOS and Mac so I don't have a dev environment setup (i actually run xlights under win7 via bootcamp).

.....looking forward to seeing the new features!

YES!!!!!!!!!!! Single strand 1000 nodes just made my night!! Now my roof outline of 435 nodes will do some sweeeeeet chases.

Indeed the ability to go over 300 channels in the model works VERY nicely. I use a straight line and then chase and my windows look wild. The window model just doesn't do the desired effect..but single strand does...so i'm really liking this. that and the cut and paste is going to save me at least 15 minutes in just mundane mad clicking and ctrl-c and v's. thank you.
