Aether II not working

Built 2 with out any issue except I need to reprogram the chip, color were coming out incorrect. Now just finished the third one and it does not work. The only thing I can get is a white flash when powering up or flipping the program switch from left to right. One thing that is happening is the 7812 voltage regulator is getting very hot and very quick. Any thoughts?

bridge of solder?  post the photos of the front and back of the board, hi-res and sharp enougth to see from.

You're correct it was a solder bridge on pins 3 & 4 of the RED LM2941. I looked over the board for a 1/2 hour before posting and still never saw the bridge.
