Help with Dlight Controller setup
« on: December 09, 2013, »
OK,

I have xlights working on all my RGB stuff, however of the 3 Dlight controller boxes I have left for this year I can only get it to respond during play back which is the first controller.

What are your d-light unit numbers?  only 1-3 as unit numbers would be valid with that configuration.

Well you may be on to something, I have unit 3, 4 & 8 and 3 is the only one that is working. when I get home I will try renaming them to 1,2 & 3 and re-export to see that fixes the issue.

you could also just change the xLights network config to have the last channel as 128 (8*16).

That would work also, but would I have to change the address on any of e131 stuff?

depends on where your sequences are coming from. You are probably right that is simplest to just change the unit numbers.

Well when I got home from, I went out and update the unit I'd on the controllers to 1,2 & 3, I also opened the sequence in LSP and changed the unit id in the sequence. I then reexport to a conductor file brought the updated file into xlights and now I have lost the only controller that was working.
