First off I have the Pickit2 Software working fine. I have borrowed a Pickit3 to program a couple of ETD's but for some reason the S/W does not recognize the Pic 32.
My computer is running XP SP3.
Went to the Wiki and downloaded the V3 Beta Version and the updated list, but my computer has a problem with that version.
Went to MPLabs website and downloaded V3.1.0.0 released, I can bring that one up and recognize the Pickit3 but still not the Pic 32.
Add the updated list from the Wiki and renamed it and still nothing.
Tried the Pickit3 for power to program the chip and also powering up the ETD (On box checked), still cannot setup the Pic32.
On the list of devices, the pull down menu only shows me "PIC 32" as a choice and nothing under that to select.
I know I am missing something, but what?
Found my problem.
In my confusion of Dat files, i copied over the original P2Config file and not the updated file with the Pic32 I needed.
Also had to you the manual mode to select the device.
Fixed the Green LED problem also, but still do not know why they worked that way from the start.
Now running fine.
