zues 8 v1 problem solved!!!
« on: November 23, 2014, »
finally built my zues' got the 16 working no problem. the zues 8 a different matter finally got power to it and tried to program it but only got 1 string of lights to flash. thought it was the lights put them on the 16 they all work so not the lights. moved the string that flashed to a different connection nope. string 8 will flash none of the others. reflashed the pics still the same only string 8 blinks . using v2 of the utility. 8 start channel 1 individual pixels forward 50 nodes RGB. just like the 16 .pulled the board looked at all the solder joints to me they look good. course I'm old deaf and can't see and the hands shake but still the 16 works. swaped to a different 485 still the same. any other suggestions?? I need this board for my mega tree.

Make sure that you didn't set the utility to 8 or PIC 8 will be the only PIC configured.  Set it to all if you want to configure all of them or you can set each one individually by setting the utility to each PIC separately.
