Sheet attachment for outdoor screen
« on: August 10, 2015, »

I built a PVC frame to hold a white screen for the purpose of some outdoor projector fun time with the family.

The guy wires are only if I take it somewhere to secure it to the ground. At home, I can wire tie to the Deck Railing for a temporary installation.

What I need help with, is a convenient way to attach the sheet to the PVC pipe so that I can later remove it easily, to store, or even wash if it gets dirty (white sheet = that's very easy to do!)

The PVC structure isn't drawn to scale but matches the full size of a full size bed sheet.
To rule the entire tri-state area!  What's that? Perry the Platypus!!!

I would attach some loops onto the sheet that would slip over the PVC.

I just did the same type of set up and made a PVC frame that I hung from the side of the house. I got the screen from Amazon. It is made with grommets and black border. The seller also had bungees with plastic ball ends. I secured the screen with heavy duty Velcro to the hanger beam. I can take the screen frame down lay the screen on it secure it with the bungees and pit it back up. It takes about 10 min. The screen is 9x16 and has 50 bungees. When we are done I take the screen down and roll it up on a PVC pipe and hang it on bicycle hooks in the garage.

I use binder clips(extra large) to clip the white sheet to the 3/4 pvc
Also, paint the center post black, the projection will reflect off the white pic and it will be seen through the sheet, but not with a black post.
