So would you use the firefly option for any rgb dmx device. Again, I have my wall washers and am still playing around with this. My wall washers are 4 channels, my rgb rope light is 5 channels.

Yes, you would.  Just change the Controller Protocol to the DMX adapter you are using.

do i have to send each color to a seperate controler or can i just send them to sequential channels on a single controller.  I am using the lynx controler to run my mr16 light which wash my house.

lynx controler
channel 1 - Wash 1 Red
channel 2 - Wash 1 Green
channel 3 - Wash 1 Blue
channel 4 - Wash 1 White
channel 5 - Wash 2 Red
channel 6 - Wash 2 Green
channel 7 - Wash 2 Blue
channel 8 - Wash 2 White

Pinky, are you pondering what I am pondering?

I think so, Brain, but this time, you put the trousers on the chimp.

First, change the contoller type by right clicking on the controller title and clicking configure controller.  There will be two drop down boxes, one for type and one for protocol.  For type, select RGB Light Controller.  For protocol, choose the appropriate DMX adapter you are using.  Then click OK.  Then right click on each channel and click configure track.  You will see three colored boxes.  Set the numbers in these boxes to correspond with your RGB channels.  Let me know if you have any more questions.
