Sequencng with video?
« on: December 31, 2021, »
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all!

So I may have a stupid question, admittedly not having done much research, but here it is...  is there a way to do synchronized light sequencing with a music video?  Do any of the sequence players work with video, or are any of the ones that support kicking off an external scripts reproducible enough to work?

For context, my DLA display only has the LE16's and MR16's and I never got into pixel stuff, and I just have the common 8-10 sequences with Vixen and/or xLights.  I have a radio station but have not done the blinking lights the last couple years because I am lazy and also big into projecting video on screens (I have a corner house and run two projectors that are synchronized running a 3-hour video of Christmas rock and popular Christmas movie scenes that use the radio station), and I've wondered about simply connecting that and the blinking lights.

Thanks!
Cheers,
Fred

The newer versions of XLights should do what you want.  I would also look into FPP as your player.
