32 device limitation?
« on: August 26, 2009, »
I'm going to take a wild guess at an answer up front to my question:

Isn't the 32 device limit on DMX a hardware limitation of the network/driver chip, and as such, using wireless everywhere would make that limit invalid (up to the 512 address limit )?

You are Correct

the older rs-485 chip had a limit on the number of devices that could be connected to it.

Wireless does not care since it just sends out all 512 address per a universe.
