Guess finding bugs for Microchip and getting to know a field enginneer did pay off. I just got a notice that a couple of new pre release toys are on the way to me.

Bad news is I am sick as a dog. In fact the doc put me on tamaflu thinking it could be swine flu! Yuk!

I hoped to get all the cases packed this weekend but might not happen now. I will do what I can since the family is helping out.  JJ already sorted all of the thousands of screws into seperate bags for each shippment. Man that had to be a pain.

Hi RJ,

Get well soon and don't worry what Keith said.

Even though I feel better about not being about to go to the last mini.

Cheers

Take the meds and hope you feel better

No Problem, They are just playing it safe.  Likely just normal flu.

Keith I was fine when I was at the mini I caught it from a couple of other sick people after I got back.

Greetings,,,

Already had several friends and relatives checked for it, due to the fact they got sick after being around others who did have the porcine version of the flu.  But, so far, none have tested positive for it.  The joke around here when anyone sneezes is to oink outloud!

I always enjoy hearing people say who they got something from, considering there's no way to tell for sure, without testing.  The modern witch hunt.    ;D

Drink plenty of fluids, and use the time to sequence, since I'm sure you feel up to that.   ::)

You can tell, by our responses, how concerned we are...  (so, the plan you spoke of at the mini to get time off is working....)

For what it's worth, my daughter had a confirmed case of H1N1 a few weeks ago.  It wasn't too bad.  Aside from the regular flu I'd say the only difference was the fever was pretty high for 24 hours and then she had a nasty lingering cough for a couple of weeks.  A lot of people have it and never even know it was H1N1 and not the regular flu.

Anyway, take it easy and get well.

Well I am back at work and feeling somewhat better but not 100%.

Thought you might want to see one of my new toys from microchip. They will be releaseing shortly. These will be the basis for the next generation of wireless DMX. Nice of them to send me four for free!  8)

They are like the module we have been using but have the amp built in and twice the output power of the current setup. The amp also is a bidirectional amp so it works when recieving also. The nice part is with these we will not need to cut the modules and will use the built on antenna while getting more range.

Plus the cost of the TX and RX will be going down using these.

Third my plan is to use one pcb for the TX and RX and have a jumper select if it a TX or RX so you can swap them back and forth. Transformers more than meet the eye!  LOL
