An interesting take on wbuehler avatar
« on: November 02, 2009, »
Disclaimer:  I have Bill's (wbuehler) permission to post this.   :)

Yesterday afternoon, while carving pumpkins at our neighbors house, I noticed a sheet of paper with the same design as Bill's avatar lying on the table.  One of the younger persons was carving the design on their pumpkin.  I mentioned that one of the people on the DiyLightAnimation forum uses the design as their avatar but that I didn't know what it was.  I think they said it had something to do with Transformers.  I took a picture but didn't want to post it without Bill's permission to avoid anyone misunderstanding what I found amusing.  My take on it was that Bill had slid from Christmas over into Halloween and had been imortalized in glowing orange.

Take a look.  It's the third one from the left in the front row.

Thanks for sharing Alan. It took me almost a year of being exposed to Bill's avatar for me to figure out it's origin.  (Sometimes I just have to be hit over the head) I still see it everywhere. Mostly in the form of Bumper stickers now on cars throughout the neighborhood. I think in his own way Bill is making his rounds. :)

PS - Wow Alan you really have some talent there. Next year I think I'm gonna try harder to make some pumpkin art.
