Vixen 2.5.0.6 Working with Windows 7 32bit
« on: November 06, 2009, »
Hi Folks,

Just trying out a new hdd in my laptop and installed windows 7 32 bit. I download vixen, ftdi drivers from the wondeful wiki and installed it. I copy from my jump drive the music, profile, sequnce (from vixen 2.5.0.0) and then set the output plugin to enttec dmx pro and com port in vixen

All is working fine at the moment, using wired only

Cheers

My system has been running using win7 64bit for a many months with out issue. I did have an issue of if my dongle was plugged in and the computer was booted it would blue screeen. But once the newer FTDI drivers were released and I installed them it has been no problems. This is with vixen 2.1 and LSP

I am having to reload the computer with the full version but I have not had time to get everything reloaded so I am unable to run much at the moment. Got my label printer going so I could get the coop shipping labels printed so that is good.

I ran Vixen 2.1 test channels today using Win7 64bit with no problem.  Been running the sequencing only for a week or so, but today I put a controller up on my roof and wanted to see my work so far after dark.  Ran test channels with out a problem.  Interesting point is that this computer is in the basement, while the show computer will be on the main level.  I was still able use wireless to turn the lights on and off.

Convert seq from 2.5 to 2.1?
Hi Folks,

Having some issues while editing and running the sequnces. Sometimes it stops with a error message and then I get big red X in the channel label panel.

So I figure I would give vixen 2.1 a try. I flatten the sequence in 2.5 and then save a new file. Copied that file into the 2.1 seq folder and it opens fine but my channel label info is not there.

So did I do something wrong or missed a step?

Thanks

Hi Folks,

I figured it out.

I did a export of the channel labels in 2.5 and then import them into 2.1

All of my info is back and then I created a new profile from the sequence.
